Description
A solar power system consists of photovoltaic modules (including racking), a photovoltaic convergence box, a solar controller, and batteries (including a battery cabinet). If the load is an AC device (220V or 110V), an inverter is required. The functions of each component are as follows
(1) Photovoltaic Module: The photovoltaic module is an important part of the solar power generation system and a high value part of the solar power generation system. Its function is to convert the sun's radiant energy into electrical energy, or send it to the battery for storage, or drive the load.
(2) Inverter: The electrical energy generated by PV modules is DC and cannot supply AC loads. The inverter is required to convert the DC power into AC power and provide it to the load.
(3) Batteries: Lead-acid and gel batteries are generally used. In small and miniature systems, nickel-metal hydride, nickel-cadmium, or lithium batteries. Their function is to store the energy generated by the solar panels when light is available and then release it when needed.
